On 6 February 1952, King George VI died following a prolonged illness. Princess Elizabeth immediately acceded to the throne, becoming Queen Elizabeth II and taking on all of the responsibilities which came with her new title.
The Duke of Cambridge (Prince William) is the second in line to the throne and the elder son of The Prince of Wales and Diana, Princess of Wales. His Royal Highness is married to The Duchess of Cambridge, Catherine, with whom he has three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. The Duchess of Cambridge became a member of the Royal Family in 2011, upon her marriage to Prince William. She has taken on Royal duties in support of The Queen through engagements at home and overseas.
On 29 April 2011, Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton were married at Westminster Abbey. The couple are now known as The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
They have three children; a son, George Alexander Louis, born on 22 July 2013, a daughter, Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, born on 2 May 2015, and a son, Prince Louis Arthur Charles, born on 27 April 2018.
Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex is sixth in line to the throne and the younger son of The Prince of Wales and Diana, Princess of Wales. The Duke now spends his working life supporting a number of charitable activities and projects and carrying out public duties in support of The Queen.
The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan, became a member of the Royal Family in 2018 upon her marriage to Prince Harry. She will perform Royal duties in support of The Queen through engagements at home and overseas. Ms. Meghan Markle was born on 4th August 1981 to Ms. Doria Ragland and Mr. Thomas Markle in Los Angeles, California.
